Patchwork Pieces

Patchwork: The design of random squares of cloth being sewn together into shoes and more!
I have fallen in LOVE with some patchwork clothing.
Check it.

These are some normal slip-on shoes with a great patchwork pattern...

I have also seen a patchwork sundress...

These multi-colored statements have been a hit on runways from Ralph Lauren to Coach!

Hope you enjoy!

Flowy Sundresses (Classic to Glam!)

Sundresses are a summer must have. Whether you are on the beach or around town!
But some styles of sundresses are getting kind of old.
Problem solved!

1. The first dress is an example of a normal sundress. I think I had one like this as a child! But if you look closer, there is a tulle-ruffle-duo at the bottom. Like long patchwork, this dress is a classic and very young! Partnered with gold gladiators.

2. The second dress is jaw dropping! It looks like it could be very hot to wear but is not! With a peacock pattern and a low v-neck, this mimics the runways this summer. The bowed "straps" add a glamorous effect. The large hem at the bottom is a delightful touch. The empire waist adds to the summery feel. Paired with gold wedges!

So it's up to you! Classic or Glamorous?

SUMMER TIP: Retro Bathing Suits

1. A plaid one-piece. There is an attached overlay which makes it look like a dress.
2. Polka dots with a spin.
3. The leopard print was very popular in the late 50s!
4. A one-piece. With tiers like an apron! (like I Love Lucy)
5. A one-piece halter. Yellow for a summery effect! A CLASSIC.
6. Simple, Sailor, and very 50s.

Very stylish! Go retro this summer!

Dresses That Fit Perfectly? impossible, yet...

It is true. There can be the perfect fit from that perfect dress. You just have to pick that perfect dress for your perfect shape. Get it?
It is almost prom time for many and so I thought that I could share some of my advice.
First, let's find the dress.
1. For Petites - Fishy and Bubbly
A bit wierd sounding? Look at these dresses.
First, the fish tail dress.

The tight body and the exploding bottom makes for a surprising curve that flatters your shape.

The bubble bottom is such a classic and gives a princess feel.
(also great for a pear-shaped figure!)

2. Tall - High/Low Hemline

This dress is fabulous! Only you tall girls can pull off this style! It gives the perfect frame for your long legs.

3. Curvy Girls - One Shoulder Strap
Displays your collarbone. A very confident and flattering dress!

4. Pear-Shaped Girls - Grecian
A statement neckline and a high waist is perfect for your figure.
Good luck on searching for the perfect dress!

Laws of the Boot.

Boots are the hottest shoes this season. Who doesn't love a great boot?

I heard from my friend (a stylist) that the hottest boots of 2010 are ankle boots (shown above) and above knee boots. (shown below)

But there are many laws to wearing a boot, says my friend. He explains.
1. Make sure your boot matches your tights.
2. Make sure your boot is not loose at the ankles. It will add weight.
3. If you are looking for a tall look, go for a tall boot! (above knee maybe?)
4. Have an all weather boot. Preferably a rain boot in a neon color or classic yellow.
5. Look for ankle boots if you want to look younger.
Enjoy those perfect boots girl!

I browsed through a new Vogue and I noticed a repeat in trends.

I know what you are thinking. "How boyish! Emm. I thought you weren't a tomboy."
Of course, I am not! But hear me out. No. Scratch that.
Hear out these pictures.

Just a statement (necklace!).

If you haven't heard, staement necklaces are the most amazing piece of jewelery of this century. Remember some of those crazy necklaces Lady Gaga wore? Yeah. I'm talking about those. The great thing is about these is that they can go with any thing. These can make your normal blazer and black pants look absolutely amazing! Take a look!

I love this coin necklace.

DIY. I am amazed, it's so vintage!

A beautiful, waterfall statement necklace.

This has Swarovski crystals! (my personal favorite)
So, tell me. Which do you like the most? Do you own any statement necklaces?

Fluff It Up!

Fluff up pillow, that is! Dang, I love a good pillow. Especially one that is very different. One that is not your average, white, cotton, run-of-the-mill pillow.

Like these:

Pancake. Pillows.

I love these. I'm a Scrabble lover (and failer).

Cute, no?

haha. It's Lego Pillow.

Now tell me what you think!

Would you like to have these kinds of pillows or would they freak you out?

OMG. Light Graffiti.

I discovered an amazing feat in photography. LIGHT GRAFFITI. If you haven't heard about it, it is a type of photography when the shutter speed is changed and a glow stick is moved in a specific pattern. Take a look!

Both of these photos were found on Photobucket. Just search light graffiti!

I am curious to know your opinion! What do you think of these pictures? Does it make you want to try it out?
